With an exclusive reveal on Radio One, Noah and the Whale has just released the first single from their upcoming album, Heart of Nowhere. The video for “There Will Come a Time” is the official trailer for the short film incarnation of the album’s, directed by band frontrunner Charlie Fink The film and the album will both be released on May 6th.
Fans of the band’s previous work will rejoice in the familiarity of the album’s mood–a kind of teenage despair undercut with the promise of celebration. Tonally, “There Will Come a Time” recalls some of the band’s previous hits like “Tonight’s the Kind of Night” and “Waiting for My Chance to Come.” This bodes well for Heart of Nowhere‘s success, if it is any indication to the quality of the other songs. If your favorite Noah and the Whale song is “5 Years Time,” though, you’re out of luck. This is not that kind of album.
Heart of Nowhere tracklisting:
Introduction / Heart of Nowhere / All Through the Night / Lifetime / Silver & Gold / One More Night / Still After All These Years / There Will Come A Time / Now Is Exactly the Time / Not Too Late
